I love this dog. I am this dog.
My favorite part of this commercial is how the dog ignores the food that the baby throws at it. Reminds me of how often I’ve been at an event when pizza or free donuts were being thrown at me (literally). I recently came to the same realization as the dog – if I want to do the things I love to do, something has to change.
When I first started my running program, I could barely make it down the street. The other day I ran 3.5 miles! It always starts small, but before you know it, you’re chasing cars.
What is your inspiration to get healthy?
More importantly, what was your favorite super bowl ad?

I LOVED that one, and the other one with that little french bull dog or boston terrier, whatever it was, racing the greyhounds in the skechers shoes….too funny :) Being a person of short stature, I loved seeing that little dog beat the long legged dogs, made me think maybe that’s how I look when I’m on the treadmill though, lol, not a pretty sight!
If I think too long about how I look when I run, I’d probably never run again. I keep holding onto the thought that I look more ridiculous on the couch, its just no one can see me. Thanks for the comment!!
Lol. I really connected with this commercial too. Especially the food being thrown down part. I still need to talk myself through what matters most. Is it that cookie…pizza…or whatever is tempting me at the moment, or is it the being able to run a 10 minute 5k? I prefer being able to run, to sit comfortably in a movie seat, or not having to lay down to zip up my jeans.
And woo hoo for you on 3.5 miles!!!! For every former couch potato, I salute you.
Oh, and I really liked the Samsung commercial… The Darkness rocks!
I agree! I loved that commercial, and even thought I am an avid apple fan I think its hilarious spoofing the waiting in line for the new iphone. Thanks for the comments!
Omg, I just realized I wrote I run a 10 min 5k, when I meant was, being able to run a 10 min mile avg in a 5k. Jeez….if I could run a 10 min 5k, I’d be training for the Olympics right now. Lol.
Something I thought of, I hope you’re stretching as much as possible. Running tightens your muscles and I noticed that I lost flexibility when I began running. Yoga is really good for this, and with strengthening too. Just a suggestion.
